Strong, Fuzzy and Smooth Hierarchical Classification for Case-Based Problem Solving
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper explains how case-based problem solving can have benefit from a hierarchical organisation of problems based on a generality relation. Three adaptation-guided retrieval processes are described. The strong classification in a problem hierarchy is a classical deductive process. It is based on the generality relation between problems which organises the hierarchy. The fuzzy classification is a fuzzification of the strong classification. It is based on a fuzzy generality relation between problems, which can be seen as a nonsymmetrical similarity measure. The smooth classification extends the fuzzy classification: it is also based on a similarity or dissimilarity measure but takes into account problem and solution adaptation knowledge. These processes have been successfully implemented in two case-based reasoning systems: RESYN/CBR in the domain of organic synthesis and KASIMIR/CBR in the domain of cancer treatment.

Solving New Product Selection Problem by a New Hierarchical Group Decision-making Approach with Hesitant Fuzzy Setting
Selecting the most suitable alternative under uncertainty is considered as a critical decision-making problem that affects the success of organizations. In the selection process, there are a number of assessment criteria, considered by a group of decision makers, which often could be established in a multi-level hierarchy structure. The aim of this paper is to introduce a new hierarchical multi...

Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death among women. Mammography remains today the best technology to detect breast cancer, early and efficiently, to distinguish between benign and malignant diseases. Several techniques in image processing and analysis have been developed to address this problem. In this paper, we propose a new solution to the problem of computer aided detection and...
متن کاملDecision support system based on hierarchical co-evolutionary fuzzy approach: A case study in detecting gamma ray signals
Decision support systems are powerful technologies for complex decision making and problem solving. However, constructing an accurate and interpretable decision support system (DSS) for any domain is a challenge. In this paper, a novel hierarchical co-evolutionary fuzzy system called HiCEFS is presented that can autonomously derive a fuzzy rule-based DSS from exemplar data. Most of the importan...

متن کاملGroup Decision Making based on a New Evaluation Method and Hesitant Fuzzy Setting with an Application to an Energy Planning Problem
In recent two decades, countries focused on minimum extraction of fossil fuels and utilized the renewable energies based on countries' policies and the environmental considerations. Thus, choosing the best renewable energy alternative is a significant role to investment on them. Among the classical decision approaches that have used in the literature, the hesitant fuzzy sets (HFSs) theory is ap...
